Michael Moeller

I'm Michaal Moeller. I am a songwriter, artist, and musician from the flatlands east of Cincinnati, Ohio. For the people around there, my music is a unique take on familiar tales. For everyone else, it is a fresh look into a midwestern river city life made into song.

I spent my youth shuffling around the radio dial finding the songs that were hidden in the shadows of the giants, but had a better story to tell through the intermittent hiss of reception issues. Finding those same songwriters and songs in the stacks of my dad's vinyl collection on select nights when they would be spread out on the floor and I would sift through them like I was panning for gold, which I was. After getting a taste for what it is that I liked, gravity started pulling me towards the inevitable task of learning to play guitar, which didn't take long for me to start making up my own songs. Just a couple of years into playing, the songs started coming, quickly filling up notebooks and adding a scattering of word doc files on my computer.

Now, with a few songs released into the world, years of writing, playing, storytelling, and performing, I have an extensive but growing catalog of songs just begging to be recorded and released. I have also added a band, The Ohio River Authority, to the things that are making noise in the same direction that I am. With that band, these songs, and a fierce reverence for a story, we plan to release these songs and tell these stories in towns like yours around the country.

Even songwriting commissions, from soundtracks to gift songs for Valentine's Day.
